Maison de Slovaque

At the Olympic Games in Paris, Slovakia impressed not only with its athletes, but also with a unique project that represented our country on the global stage. Maison de Slovaque, the Slovak Olympic House, was not only a space where athletes, journalists and fans met, but also a place that proved that Slovak creativity has no limits. We were able to contribute to this success and participate in the preparation and assembly of the backstage of this exceptional space.

The Challenge of Working in Paris

With an area of 870 m², Maison de Slovaque was a big project for us. However, working in such an international environment was nothing new for us – we have a wealth of experience in exhibition projects under our belt. Nevertheless, we had to cope with several challenges that working in Paris brought. But as they say, challenges are there to be overcome. We had 4-5 days to assemble and only 2 days to disassemble, which didn’t give us much room for error. Nevertheless, we solved any problems that arose with lightning speed.

Behind the scenes, where a great atmosphere is born

One of the more interesting elements of our project was the Memory Wall, where famous personalities signed their names. Imagine that every hand that touched our handmade modular walls contributed to the creation of this unique space. It was no machine work – everything was created with love and attention to detail. Our company also took care of preparing the backstage area for FunRadio, which was able to broadcast safely with a beautiful view of the Wall. Without quality preparation and installation, it would not have been possible to achieve the level of professionalism that Maison de Slovaque excelled at. Mertel helped us with all the details.

Architecture and art combined in one space

Maison de Slovaque was full of architectural and artistic elements that attracted the attention of many visitors. One of them was the Archipelago, a space where various workshops and events were held. This interactive element contributed to educating and engaging visitors with Slovak culture. We cannot forget the art installations, which literally breathed and surprised visitors with their yoga postures. These elements added a unique atmosphere to the whole project and showed that Slovakia has a lot to offer in the field of modern art as well.

We would like to thank Mertel and Slovakia Travel for the opportunity to give us a helping hand. Thanks also go to Woven, who were able to draw and fill the space with beautiful elements. Maison de Slovaque has been an exceptional project for us and we are proud of it. We believe that this success will also push us further and we look forward to further challenges and collaborations.
